Zintle Magwaza is just 23 years old, but she already has her own fashion brand called Zin-clair by Zintle.

The talented Cape Town-based designer draws inspiration from her Xhosa culture for her brand, Daily Sun reports.

She has styled young men going to the mountains for initiation. However, she has several more designs to cater for a wide range of preferences, Briefly.co.za learned.

In an interview, Zintle said, "I’m inspired by Xhosa culture. Everything I do has to have a touch of my Xhosa roots."

Xhosa culture prohibits women from knowing what happens on the mountains during initiation. Zintle therefore initially expected some resistance to her brand.

She was pleasantly surprised when her community welcomed her designs. The young designer explained:

Instead, they said I have a lot of courage. I haven’t received a single negative comment about this. I did a lot of research in my kasi because I didn’t want to go only to fashion experts and people who live in town.
