Woman thanks taxi drivers for helping her escape an alleged angry mob

- A woman shared a post describing a terrifying incident in an informal settlement

Twitter user, Diane Redelinghuys (@crazydoctorlady), shared a tweet describing an uncomfortable incident on New Year’s Day.

Redelinghuys explained how she took a wrong turn and got lost within an informal settlement.

She was soon surrounded by an angry mob but a group of taxi drivers saved the day.

According to the tweet, the heroes physically intervened and escorted her out to safety.

Some tweeps were moved and commended the taxi drivers for their gesture.

However, the story just didn’t add up to some.

Briefly.co.za noted that numerous people were able to relate to similar experiences, which added more credibility to the story.
