If you grew up without a father then you know the heartache and empty space that is left with you for a lifetime. Zodwa Wabantu never knew her father and that pain has never gone away.

No matter how old you get, what success comes your way, or how much love you are surrounded by, nothing will ever fill the void of a missing parent.

Briefly.co.za learnt that Zodwa recently opened up and expressed how not having a father in her life has affected her.

She told the Daily Sun that she had never met her father, nor does she know what he looks like. At this point in her life she is not even angry with him, she just wants to know him.

Even though Zodwa has stayed strong and believes that it does not bother her much, she is still interested in knowing who the man is that played a part in giving her life.

Knowing so little about her father, Zodwa stated that she would not rule out the fact that she coud have even slept with him without even knowing.

“That would be very wrong and scary,” she said.

One of the driving forces behind finding out who her father is, is her son. She would like him to know his grandfather. She also wants to know if he is proud of her.
