Love is a beautiful thing that most humans hope to experience. Some people are lucky enough to find the person after their heart in one lifetime even if it takes several years to happen.
After two people get together as a couple and start a family, it is inevitable that other family members would soon grow up and live their own lives. This often leads to loneliness for the already aged folks. It even becomes worse when one of the partners dies then things start to look bleak.
However, there is no limit to how many times a person can fall in love in a lifetime as even old people find love again.
Briefly.co.za gathered the report of an old widow, Grandma Ruby, who was lucky enough to meet someone to share the rest of her life with after her first husband passed away years ago.
Her emotional story was shared by her granddaughter identified as Nashe Shaw on Facebook. According to her, Ruby’s husband passed away 30 years earlier and she soon became lonely. Fortunately for her, she met a widower at her church, Charles.
They started a friendship about six years ago till he finally decided to take the bold step and propose to her on Christmas day in front of her friends and family members.
Shaw wrote: "My granny Ruby was previously married over 30 years and Mr. Charles was previously married as well. Both became widows; they knew each other from church. My granny use to be so lonely and stayed in the house all day. We use to beg her to find a man lol, until one day he (Mr. Charles) asked to take her out about 6 years ago and they have been going strong ever since!"
The emotional moment was captured on video:
True love fears no boundaries. Cheers to the couple.
