Unemployed father of three claimed the R8.7 million lotto jackpot

After losing track of how many years he has been unemployed, a father of three can finally provide for his family.

The man from Soweto recently discovered he was the winner of the R8.7 million December jackpot.

According to EWN, the National Lottery Operator reported there were 2 lottery winners who didn't claim their prizes.

Soon after, the man arrived at the Ithuba offices to claim his money.

The lucky dad says he lost count of how many years he has been without a job. He lives with his mother in a family home.

Briefly.co.za gathered that the man used to loan money to people in Soweto and they would pay it back with interest.

He plans to buy a house and give his children a much better life.
