Kiara was on her way to church with her mother when their car collided with a motorbike. The teen got hurt real bad, but thanks to her fighting spirit and dedicated doctors, the girl is recovering well.
Kiara's parents were told to expect the worst after she went into a coma after she was involved in a car accident with her mother, a pastor. They were heading to church when a motorbike crashed into them.
The teen sustained serious brain injuries, and a section of her skull had to be removed when her brain started to swell.
However, Kiara's parents never gave up on their little girl, and she regained consciousness last week.
Kiara’s father, Pastor Richard Mun-Gavin thanked the team who tirelessly worked to help Kiara recover, according to a report by The South African.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Kiara is slowly but surely making good progress and can stand on her feet, write her name, and read.
The teenager is still having a tough time with speech, but she always shows a thumbs-up when asked how she feels.
We wish Kiara a speedy recovery!
