- Blogger, Sandile Madonsela, asked Twitter for help finding a matriculant sponsorship for university
- The matriculant received impressive results and hoped to study Aerospace or Aeronautical engineering at Wits
- Twitter came together to offer advice
Aspiring KwaZulu-Natal blogger, Sandile Madonsela took to twitter to help find a promising young matriculant sponsorship to further his academic career.
After the matric results were released earlier this month, the future seemed bright for many high-achieving matriculants set to further their academic careers at tertiary institutions, as Briefly.co.za reported.
However, many South Africans struggle to grab hold of the opportunity to study further, owing to financial challenges.
To help one particular student, Madonsela posted the student's impressive results which included an 80 percent for Physical Sciences and a 70 percent for Mathematics.
The matriculant is hoping to study Aerospace or aeronautical engineering at the University of Witwatersrand.
The Twitter community came together and responded with tons of helpful advice for the young man, including suggestions of companies which sponsor aerospace related degrees, such as SASOL and the South African National Defense Force.
Social media users also suggests that Madonsela and the young matriculant apply for NSFAS funding and ensure that he has been accepted into the degree before continuing to apply for funding.
