“It is absolute nonsense and rubbish that any of the leadership of the EFF will be resigning to join another political party.” Julius Malema addresses rumours that Floyd Shivambu will be leaving the Economic Freedom Fighters
Speaking to SABC News, Julius Malema confirmed that leadership in the EFF won’t be jumping ship anytime soon.
“It is absolute nonsense and rubbish that any of the leadership of the EFF will be resigning to join another political party.” maintained the presidential hopeful.
This follows rumours circulating on social media that a split in the political party might see deputy Floyd Shivambu leaving to join a new party.
This as yet unknown party was rumoured to be spearheaded by former Government Communication and Information System leader and businessman, Mzwanele Manyi.
Despite this, the EFF has maintained a united front and remains focused on its mandate - ensuring South Africans experience economic freedom.
Taking to Twitter, Julius Malema had written that “It is unavoidable; we are heading for a confrontation and fighters you will have to tighten the seat belt. We must have no patience for betrayal.”
