On Monday, Claire Mawisa took to social media to encourage single mothers with a sweet message.
TV presenter Claire Mawisa shared an adorable photo of herself with her son on Instagram, alongside an empowering message to all single moms.
"Single mothers, the majority of us didn't think we would be doing this parenting thing alone, but here we are, doing the best we can, with what we've got," she started off the post.
She went on to add: "from wondering where money for the nappies will come from, to seeing the redundant 'happy fathers day' cards they were forced to painfully make at school, to finding the god within you to remain optimistic and free from bitterness, to wondering whether you have the resilience to make it till their adulthood."
Mawisa added single moms should celebrate every milestone they reach with their kids. The celeb went on to gush about her son, who started high school this year.
"Look at us, today we start high school! i have done it with the tireless help from my mother; the countless supportive angels that appeared at the right time to help in desperate times, and with the spirit of the millions of women who did it before me! it tough and it hurts," she said.
