Solly Msimanga, the mayor of Tshwane, got himself into hot water on social media after posting a photo of himself laughing. It seems the photo has since been deleted.
Normally, that would not be a problem, but this photo was of him at the scene of a serious train accident that claimed lives, and South Africans were not impressed.
As reported by The Citizen, South Africans quickly responded to the photo, questioning why the mayor was laughing when people had died.
Briefly.co.za gathered that at least 3 people were killed during the accident that was caused when two trains crashed into each other.
According to reports, more than 600 passengers were injured in the accident in Mountain View.
Despite Mayor Msimanga extending his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, people couldn't help but notice him laughing at the scene.
