Were you wondering where former Gupta buddy Mzwanele Manyi has disappeared to? Apparently, he is off to the ATM and it’s not what you think. Manyi made the announcement today at a press briefing in Braamfontein, Gauteng
Mzwanele Manyi is headed to the ATM, and it’s not to withdraw cash. Manyi announced his newest political venture today in Gauteng.
Manyi is a member of the Bantu Church of Christ, who is led by the founders of the party. The head of the church is Bishop John Bolana who is, in turn, a friend of the former president.
"Initially [Manyi] wanted to start his own party. He was however convinced to join the ATM. The intention is to collapse all RET [radical economic transformation] organisations and put them all under one roof."
The party has spent the last year establishing footholds in the country.
After being asked for comment on the matter yesterday Manyi had remained on the fence, saying that he could not ‘confirm or deny’ that he would be joining ATM.
"There are many speculations. Some are saying I am joining the EFF while others are saying I am forming a new party ... that is why I advise you to come to the press conference tomorrow [today] where I will tell you exactly; when I confirm everything."
