Azania took a first-time solo leisure visit to Paternoster in Western Cape recently.

She posted a few pics about the pretty town, the really cold beach and unrelenting wind on Instagram. She said she had been reflecting on the experience of traveling solo, as she's done it for work but never for leisure for multiple days.

She added that she initially it was because she felt like Joburg was suffocating. So she responded to the restlessness. She felt she wasn’t patient enough to wait for a squad to relieve her restlessness.

Azania hashtagged that she was inspired by nature and always grateful even for this solo holiday. She wrote a few things she had learnt from this solo holiday.

Azania added that caution is key and quoted Laurence Stern's: “In solitude the mind gains strength and learns to lean on itself”.

I don’t always want to be alone but I enjoy the moments of solitude so that I recharge and come back to myself.
