- Local rapper Emtee rants on social media
- The rapper took to Instagram to voice his frustration about fickle friends
- This comes after a series of similar personal posts over the week
Emtee took to social media today to open up about his difficult upbringing and the hardships of this past year and call out those who deserted him. This comes after the rapper was embroiled in numerous scandals.
Born Mthembeni Ndevu, the 25 year old better known by his stage name Emtee, is a South African rapper. He is best known for his debut hit single, "Roll Up".
Last year, Briefly.co.za reported that Emtee collapsed on stage during a performance and fans noted he looked a bit 'dazed'. Rumours of drug abuse began circulating, but the rapper maintained it was exhaustion that led to the incident. He took to social media this week to open up about the rumours. He admitted he sold drugs but he never used the substances himself.
It seems his media rant is not over as he took to Instagram to call out fickle fans and friends.
“I was deprived of a lot of things in 2018, people deserted us n went MIA coz I am not as rich as they thought I was.”
The emotionally charged post talks about how many deserted him when they realised that he was not as wealthy as they thought he was. He continues on to say that he does not wish to offend anyone, and he is just speaking his mind.
