Malema has fired back at AfriForum header Kallie Kriel.

Kriel had taken to Twitter to rebuff Malema's claim that he had not made any payments to the lobby group. This was after a judge ordered the EFF leader to pay toward AfriForum's legal costs (totaling R550 000).

Krield tweeted an image of a bank payment allegedly made by Malema with the caption "Just to refresh your memory".

"Thank you for the payment ⁦@Julius_S_Malema⁩ and ⁦@EFFSouthAfrica⁩. ⁦@afriforum⁩ can only hope that you didn't use VBS money to pay us. Unlike you and the #EFF, we don't take money from the poor," Kriel wrote. Kriel was referring to the alleged VBS looting which the EFF has been accused of taking part in. The EFF has denied the allegation.

Malema, however, immediately fired shots of his own. He tweeted back at Kriel, saying in Sepedi that he was drunk on Klipdrift and Coca-Cola. The comment immediately caused a stir on Twitter, leading to scores of comments and retweets.

The payment AfriForum says Malema made to them stemmed from a court case AfriForum had brought against the EFF last year. AfriForum was seeking an interdict against the EFF to prohibit them from inciting people to unlawfully occupy land.
