Twitter user, Lutho Ncukana (@_Malinxi), took the brave decision to reveal her recent ordeal.

Ncukana shared a series of tweets detailing how she became the victim of a real estate scam.

She was persuaded to deposit the sum of R4200 to secure a 1 bedroom flat she had been interested in.

The agent initially then said her colleague would meet with Ncukana to let her sign the lease agreement and receive the key.

However, neither the agent nor her colleague ever appeared and Ncukana soon became suspicious.
