Video shows pickpocket at work and it has South Africans speechless

Each criminal has his or her own style- some take what they want by force while others rob people without raising any the poor victims even noticing what's going on.

On Monday, a video was posted on social media which showed a pickpocket using a trick to catch his latest victim.

The footage, which was shared by South Africa Live, showed an unsuspecting man bumping into the petty thief.

The pickpocket then goes on to show the man a trick of sorts and by the end of the video he is seen shaking the guy's hand.

However, Briefly.co.za gathered as the oblivious man walks away, footage shows the thief putting what appears to be the victim's wallet in his pocket.

The video sparked quite the reaction on social media and other South Africans came forward with similar stories of their own.

Sibongile Zonela commented: "This happened to me in JHB 2006. I almost lost my phone."
Sithembele J Mbusi added: "This happened to my friend in PE Central the guy complimented his sneaker n asked him what size is he wearing puted his feet next to his meanwhile his pick pocketing his phone."
Sbusiso Johnny Mbatha wrote: "This happened to me in 2008 in jozi, still crying over my Samsung D500."
