If the sound of Noot vir Noot does not get you excited or bring back childhood memories, are you even South African? After 29 long years, Johan Stemmet, the face of Noot vir Noot, has thrown in the towel.

Like the colour red is to Coca-Cola, Johan Stemmet is to Noot vir Noot. If you take away the one thing that people remember something by, you take away the thing completely.

Briefly.co.za learnt that Stemmet will host his final episode of SABC 2’s Noot vir Noot on Thursday evening at 19:00, according to Netwerk24.

"After 28 years of doing the show I feel like this will be one of the most exciting finales ever," Stemmet wrote on his Facebook page.
