A goodwill video was shared and went viral via Facebook recently.

More than 5 000 people liked the video proving that many people prefer positive, uplifting news rather than violence and despair.

The footage reveals a heavily flooded road as motorists slowly navigate the challenging conditions.

One of the construction workers is seen crossing the road on his way to a young learner.

He then proceeds to pick up the young girl and carries her over the wet road.

Briefly.co.za observed that an approaching car stops to give way to the man and the girl.

The man then drops her once they’ve crossed the road where her friend is waiting for her.

Although the video doesn’t show it, one can only assume that the man did the same for the first girl.

Based on the comments, social media users were blown away by the Good Samaritan.
