One of Mzansi's hottest rising stars, Babes Wodumo, has had her fair share of moments that her fans are not likely to forget soon. From loudly taking on a woman in an airport to showing off her vocal range, we took a look at 5 of our fave moments.
Babes Wodumo is loud, outspoken and doesn't care what people think. She's also talented, hardworking and driven.
Babes is one of SA's hottest properties in SA's music world, and as such she's been in the spotlight a lot. Sometimes she puts herself in the public eye, other times she just draws our attention.
With that said, Babes had many moments that we aren't going to forget, so we gathered some of our favourite moments and made a brief list.
Here are 5 moments that Babes had our undivided attention:
That airport moment
Babes angrily reacted to a woman at an airport and the cursing and threats went viral on social media.
She captured the exchange between the woman and herself and spread like wildfire on Twitter. The singer’s rage was sparked by a woman who told her and a friend to “shush” as she passed by. Babes then took exception to being told to keep quiet and decided to put the woman in her place.
The Black Panther track
One of Babes' biggest moments in 2018 was the release of Black Panther. The first black superhero movie broke records, and the most exciting part for Mzanzi was the announcement that some of our favourite local entertainers, including Babes, were featured on the soundtrack.
Babes has an amazing voice:
The singer shared a candid video of herself singing with no music and obviously no editing done to her voice.
This proved she has talent and we're all for raw, natural talent.
An interview that went south
Early in 2018, it was reported that Mandla ‘Mampintsha’ Maphumulo allegedly abused Babes. After the interview went big, Masechaba Ndlovu was flamed for her approach during the interview. Babes left in tears.
Babes and Mampintsha
This one is actually ongoing as neither of these two want to confirm that they are together, but their social media accounts sure have fans convinced.
Her fans are divided, as reported on by Briefly.co.za. Some root for them to get back together and others want them to remain apart since there is still the history of violence between them. However, the heart wants what it wants.
