Actor, Jerry Mofokeng believes the new upcoming Showmax series, The Girl from St. Agnes, will help educate young people about how to navigate the pitfalls of life.
According to TimesLive, the series follows the tale of a mysterious death at a prestigious KZN Midlands boarding school that uncovers secrets. The show explores themes such as abuse, bullying and social media intimidation.
The media platform said Jerry hoped that the series would help teach young people that they are not alone in their problems.
He said the youth thought they were the first ones to be young and special, and didn’t was want to learn from life. He added that experience is a great teacher but it teaches you too late.
It teaches you after a scar. But you don’t need to have a scar if you listen to the lessons from life and from those who have gone on before and from series such as this.
The actor was impressed by the talents of the series which features, Nina Milner, Makgotso M, Tyrone Keogh, Tess Jubber, Grahham Hopkins, Robert Hobbs and Celeste Khumalo, to name a few.
