For the many who have been singing along to Jacob Zuma for the last few years, now is your chance to actually sing alongside him on his upcoming album.
Despite protests, eThekwini Municipality’s recording deal with Zuma, is still on track and auditions for backing vocalists will be held next month.
The former president has been living his best life since stepping down from his position. Briefly.co.za previously reported that uBaba would record his favourite struggle songs this year as part of the city’s integrated development plan.
The municipality’s head of Parks, Recreation and Culture unit, Thembinkosi Ngcobo, said the project would continue but Zuma would not be getting paid.
He confirmed that the project was approved by the council last year and there would be a call on auditions for backup singers.
Ngcobo added that if any money was paid, it would be to the back-up singers.
So if you want to sing with the former president, be sure to find yourself in that audition queue. Goodluck!
