'Whooping demons out': Another alleged beating at a church goes viral

Another video has gone viral on social media which allegedly showed the use of violence in a faith-based institution.

Only hours after a video went viral of a young woman being physically assaulted by an alleged church member, another clip raised eyebrows over the use of violence in churches.

Briefly.co.za reported previously, a video has sparked outrage which showed a woman getting beaten for sinning by an alleged church member.

Now, another video has gone viral which showed an alleged church leader beating members of a congregation with a stick.

Twitter parody account Man's Not Barry Roux shared the video on the social media platform.

"What was happening here?" he simply captioned the video.

The video sparked quite the reaction on social media and South Africans gave their two cents on the matter.

Social media user @oisepet commented: "So adults leave the house to church to be beaten and flogged by another adult. Why are Africans slave to this thing called religion or Christianity?"
Another tweep, @Sibuzakes, added: "Jericho church they do all sorts of things to each other so violent ...some guy I know went to visit the church and he came back with one ear."
