A tear-jerker of a video was shared via social media, which highlights the plight of a homeless man by the name of Ronald Davis.
The video has been viewed nearly 1 million times and is testament to the huge impact that it’s had on people.
Mr Davis explains the challenges he is faced with on a daily basis as he struggles to find employment.
As he reveals in the video, his job applications are always unsuccessful as employers are put off by his ragged appearance.
They also can’t contact him regarding a vacancy as he doesn’t possess a mobile phone and it becomes a vicious cycle.
Davis reveals that he often doesn’t earn enough funds from begging and then has to sleep on the streets.
What is most striking is the impact other people had on Davis.
Those passing by would occasionally shout for him to get a job and label him a “bum.”
As he says quite aptly in the video: “I’m not a bum. I’m a human being.”
Hundreds of social media users commented on the video and revealed how the video touched their lives.
Many wanted to reach out to Davis but were informed of the tragic news that he passed away on 30th November 2018.
His family were only informed by authorities on 20th December.
