Mental health is just as important as physical health. Vusi Nova recently learnt this when he was hospitalised due to a panic attack.

Vusi found himself lying in a hospital bed this weekend as a result of stress. He suffered a panic attack that has now forced him to put his life on hold for a little while.

Briefly.co.za saw Vusi share the news on his social media. He posted a picture of himself laying in a hospital bed, attached to a drip.

He made his health scare public so that he could remind others to do what he didn’t, to breath.

In his post the As'phelelanga hitmaker stresses the importance of taking a step back and taking a break.

"To want to succeed and being driven is great, but all of that also comes with stress and anxiety. So now and again take some time off because all that won’t matter if u don’t take care of yourself. (I) still want to live," Vusi stated.

Sometimes it takes a trip to the hospital to open one’s eyes to the pressure they are putting on themselves. Let Vusi be your lesson, downtime is so important.
