Social media users shared their positive racial stories on social media and it inspired hope in other South Africans.
On Tuesday, Facebook group Positive Relationships in SA a heartwarming photo of a white nurse carrying a black child on her back.
The photo was simply captioned, "trust=peace" and it struck a chord with social media users.
Jean Loots commented: "Now this is what I call compassion!"
Machel Greyling Rundle wrote: "Fabulous...only challenge with us light skinned ladies is our bums are wide not round and firm..babies slide down..."
Marilie Van Der Walt added: "A child is a child, and even more so a sick baby. So heartwarming to see such caring."
Although the image touched many hearts', one woman's comment stood out from the rest. Lorraine Redpath was so moved by the post she decided to share her own positive racial story.
Redpath posted a pic of her grandson with his two best friends. Neither one of the three boys are of the same race, yet they managed to form a bond that would last a lifetime.
"My grandson's 2 best friends for years. Colour doesn't matter as long as your heart is good," she captioned a snap of her son with his friends.
