Nosipho Dumisa’s luxurious lifestyle has left South Africans green with envy. The talented writer and director has been living the high life after the premier of her breakout film, Nommer 37, hit the big screens last year.
But if there’s anyone who has earned the life of glitz and glamour, it’s the young filmmaker. Nosipho is a pioneer for black, female directors in South Africa.
She is also a thriving businesswoman and founded her own production company, Gambit Films, which has been thriving for the past ten years
Impressively, Nosipho has accomplished all this before the age of 30.
Nosipho is definitely about more than just the perks and prettiness about the film industry. Her team at Gambit films create critical and beautiful films that reflect the true and pure lives that ordinary South Africans lead.
Although she is based in Cape Town, she has traveled all over the country in the past few years. Her Instagram is loaded with stunning snaps of her hiking through gorgeous greenery in Cape Town, KwaZulu-Natal
In November last year, Nosipho flew to Egypt for the Cairo Film Festival. She also visited the majestic India, and thoroughly enjoyed the sites and culture.
But the life of a world-class filmmaker is not always jet-setting and red carpet events, it’s also hard work and many sleepless nights.
