Thugs in South Africa no longer wait until the night time to commit crimes, they now do it in broad daylight.

However, one thief found out why trying to steal a car during daytime was not the best decision. A CCTV video of attempted car theft in Gauteng made its way on social media on Thursday.

The footage showed a thug walking past a bakkie, just to return moments later to break into it. However, as he was busy with the wires of the vehicle, the owner came running up to the scene of the crime.

With a magnificent kick, that had us saying "This. Is. Sparta" in our heads, the bakkie's owner made his presence know.

He kicked the living daylights out of the thief and the thug had no other option than to try and run away.
