A video has been shared on social media on Friday which showed thugs robbing a house in broad daylight.
According to Intelligence Bureau SA, several thugs derailed a gate to get entry to a home in Longfellow Str, Ridgeway, Johannesburg.
The robbery took place in broad daylight and the Jozi family were left to lock themselves in a room while they carried out their plan.
"House robbery in Longfellow Str, Ridgeway, JHB South. Suspects in getaway White Mercedes no reg seen. Suspects derailed the gate to gain entry to the property, as the suspects derail the gate the family inside locked themselves in a room," CCTV footage of the robbery was captioned on social media.
Briefly.co.za gathered the video sparked quite the reaction on social media and South Africans were left fuming.
Lucille Labuschagne commented: "Really? Did they push the panic... Cause it seems that they have beams & an alarm? This country is becoming shopping heaven and free for all. Joke."
A lot of people, who are fed up with crime, added the home owners should have opened fire on the thugs.
Anda Dumo wrote: "wish house owner had GUNNED them down. ALL OF THEM!"
Dumi Hadebe added: "This was a good session for shooting range practice. None of these thugs would have made it out alive in my property."
