Eminem makes history: only artist to have 7 albums reach 1bn streams on Spotify

United States' best selling artist of the 2000's, Eminem, is the only artist to have seven albums reach 1 billion streams on Spotify.

The following albums have surpassed 1 billions streams on Spotify are The Marshall Mather LP, Kamikaze, Revival, Marshall Mathers LP 2, Recovery, The Eminem Show and Curtain Call.

The US rapper, has massive fans from across the globe, which is no wonder he can reach that kind of success.

SA HipHop Mag reported about his success rate on charts and this is what we learnt. The star has had 10 number-one albums on the Billboard 200 and 5 number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100.

He is the only artist to have 9 albums consecutively debut at number one on the Billboard 200.

Eminem has sold more than 200 million records globally, and is among the world’s best selling artists of all time.

Many Mzansi rappers want to be like Eminem, some think they are better that him.

Four months ago, Briefly.co.za reported that Nasty C declared that his new album was better than Eminem's Kamikaze.

It was reported that Nasty C believed that he was in a league of his own when he announced that his album ‘Strings and Bling’ was better than anything that J. Cole, Eminem or NAS has ever dropped. But not all fans agreed.
