Ringo remembers that Oliver Mtukudzi told him they're here to make people happy

Actor and musician Ringo Madlingozi paid tribute to his old mentor and friend, late music legend Oliver Mtukudzi. He took to social media to remember how Oliver told him that they came to earth to make people happy.

Africans - and the world - have been paying tribute to late jazz musician Oliver Mtukudzi, and musician Ringo Madlingozi joined in.

He remembered the things Oliver told him and hopes his hero will rest in peace.

Oliver passed away at a Harare hospital after being brought in for emergency medical attention on the 21st of January. Briefly.co.za reported that Zimbabwean publication, Masvingo Mirror, broke the news that the legend had passed away.

Ringo has a number of fond memories of his time with Oliver and shared some of them on social media.

He shared snaps and a video of their performance together, reminiscing on the old days. Ringo captioned one snap of him with Oliver with a heartfelt goodbye.

You said “ we came here on this earth to make everyone happy, so let’s do it until we are done with our calling and we can say goodbye” Goodbye My brother! I don’t know know if I will ever speak to you again. I don’t know if heaven has a township. Rest In Peace My Hero!
