Woman's confession: Friend asked her to date her bae, she fell for him

A Pretoria woman found herself in a complicated situation after agreeing to help her friend out with a problem. Thembi’s friend wanted to cheat on her own boyfriend without him noticing. To do so, she asked Thembi to date her boyfriend so that he’d be distracted.

Thembi finally agreed and began an affair with the boyfriend. But after they got to know each other, she ended up falling in love with him.

The situation got even more complicated after Thembi’s friend passed away last year. Although saddened by the loss of her friend, the boyfriend now asked Thembi to be an official couple, leaving her torn, Briefly.co.za learned.

Thembi’s spicy confession elicited a variety of responses from social media.

One Twitter user asked if the story was scripted, completely shook that some people were living such dramatic lives while his own life is quite boring.

Francis Matsika felt the convenience of her friend dying was just a little bit too convenient, and questioned how she died.

Others tried offering Thembi some advise. Many uses felt that she should just go be with the boyfriend, after all the friend was cheating anyway, saying that it is what she would have wanted.

In contrast, some felt that only a year was too soon after she died to start an official relationship with him, unless they were planning on living in a different place.
