South African artist, web influencer and entrepreneur, Daniel Marven, recently asked his followers a question that got them thinking about what's more important in life: money, or loving relationships?
Having a lot of money is a dream for many people. If we're being honest, most of us want a lot of moola. But are we willing to have millions if it means we will be lonely?
It's easy to say that money buys you everything, even affection and love, but does it really? Is the love you're getting from people who know you're loaded true and real?
Perhaps it would be better to be poor and have someone special in your life. A "partner in poverty" doesn't sound that bad, does it?
Daniel Marven, a local businessman, influencer and artist asked his followers a question that got them thinking.
He asked which is worse, being broke in a relationship, or being rich but lonely.
Here's what people had to say:
@USHER23823106 - Yo... you can't be lonely when your rich
@secondwifeee - Being broke in a relationship, coz if u a rich it's hard to be lonely..
@Fifs_Mogorosi - Being rich but lonely. Sad!!!
@TlaleLynn - Guys loneliness is hectic! I know ppl who have money & all they need but dololo companionship! As u grow older, being lonely is a killer shame! But rich also is nice lol
@forgivenSON7 - Yes you can be rich and lonely...The rich prefer to stay lonely than meet up with someone with a fake feeling.
This is a debate that can go on for ages. It's all a matter of perspective, and that differs from person to person.
