Phuzekhemisi Mnyandu, the Maskandi legend, will appear in the Durban magistrate’s court on 15 February on a murder charge.
Mnyandu allegedly shot a band member who was hospitalised and passed away in hospital, according to a report by SowetanLIVE.
The musician was released on R3 000 bail and was initially charged with attempted murder, but since the person succumbed to the wounds, the charge is now murder.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Mnyandu is accused of shooting a band member in the chest, stomach, and leg when they had an argument on the 9th of December.
Mnyandu did not comment on the accusation and said the matter is now before the court.
The Maskandi musician has had a long career and released more than 25 albums.
