Grade 7 learner inspires SA with powerful message about respect

A grade 7 learner blew South Africa away while delivering a speech about respect to fellow learners. The young man showed wisdom beyond his years, clearly articulating his message about respect, love, and education.

The charismatic future leader left South Africans on social media feeling proud and hopeful about the nation’s future.

The young man explained to the learners why having respect is so important to our society.

He said that having respect for teachers, classmates, and communities enables young people to learn and get the most out of being at school, Briefly.co.za found.

Respect comes with love and when you have love, you have peace. When you do not have love, you have hatred. And when you have hatred, that’s when people start to steal and start to kill other people because they do not have sympathy for other people.

In his speech, he encourages learners to love one another. He also warns learners against falling into patterns of disrespecting people in authority who are trying to empower them, because their friends are leading them down the wrong path.

He added that learners should be careful about who they choose to be friends with, because some people can often be a bad influence

Love is a must but relationship is by choice. You have the right to invite, delete and terminate.

He adds that learners should not be friends with people who don't encourage them to be a better person.

Many adults felt that they could learn something from the boy’s powerful message, as people fall into the same patterns of behaviour as young learners, often without realising it.

The students ate up every word the charismatic young leader said and were able to relate to their peer's sentiments.

The young man has dreams and hopes to become an electrical engineer one day.
