Video shows man's bakkie won't start, opens bonnet to find huge snake

- A man struggled to start his bakkie and opened his bonnet to find a giant python snake lying in the engine bay

- He courageously removed the snake with the help of 2 other men

A man got stuck in the bush one day when his car refused to start.

He opened the bonnet to identify the issue and found a massive snake in his engine bay.

Briefly.co.za gathered the snake to be an African Rock Python.

The man nervously prods the snake initially and eventually grabs it just below the head.

He then slowly removes the python with the aid of 2 other men.

The men slowly pull the snake from the engine but a large part still lingered further below – the true size of the gargantuan beast can then be seen.

The video was shared by South Africa Live via Facebook and attracted interest from many South Africans but some from the rest of the continent as well.

Based on the comments, the incident seemingly took place in Zimbabwe.
