Another cash-in-transit (CIT) heist has been caught on video and it showed thugs jumping the security guards during the loading phase.
On Monday, a video was shared on Twitter showing CIT guards getting jumped by armed thugs on a sidewalk.
Yusuf Abramjee posted the clip on social media and captioned it: "Cross-pavement #CITRobbery today."
Briefly.co.za gathered that the footage shocked South Africans, with many remarking that it looked more like a give away than a robbery.
Social media user @OzalwauMaMnguni commented: "That's not a robbery... Issa give away!"
Another tweep, @bin_oshabe, wrote: "Hehe they looked like they were collecting their bag.... The audacity..!!!"
Other social media users added that the company should have provided the van with more security guards.
Tumelo Molibeli, who goes by the Twitter handle @tutuks1, added: "G4s is responsible for this. U can't have a driver and collector only."
William Ponto II, @RikhotsoTiyani, commented: "Looks like a proper inside job this one."
Twitter user @Sediks_Leroux wrote: "why is it that G4S has one person collecting money and there is no one checking for cover or a decoy? something to make this people think twice?"
Another tweep, @honourableTshif, said: "G4 is negligence and responsible for this, I'm told that the bosses there are working with this guys and they get a cut and later go claim the money from their insurances."
