Thando Thabethe rushed to Pearl Thusi's defence on Twitter after some tweeps criticised her appointment as roast master on Comedy Central's AKA roast next month.
Two days ago, Briefly.co.za reported that the queen of shade, Pearl Thusi is set to dish out the beef at The Comedy Central's Roast of AKA.
She was recently chosen as the Roast Master for the show, which takes place at Teatro at Montecasino on 21 February.
Pearl made history as the first woman to be appointed as roast master in Africa.
She is one of South Africa's most popular actresses and also possesses the sass and wit to bring her A-game on the show.
TshisaLIVE reported that while most peeps congratulated the superstar on her achievement, some questioned why producers used the same talents over and over again.
In the same vein, they wondered why others weren't given the chance to show their skills too.
Pearl didn't seem to bother to respond. However, her friend Thando "Thabooty" Thabethe did. She decided to speak her mind.
Thando went on to say that today's "entitled generation" expected gigs to just fall on their laps. She made it very clear that she still auditioned for gigs.
Thando also mentioned that it's more difficult for female artistes to open up the industry than their male counterparts. This is because eyes are always on females.
