Chairman for the EFF, Dali Mpofu, took to social media to comment on Angelo Agrizzi's confession that he is a racist. Mpofu felt that Agrizzi had taken the first step to recovery by admitting it.
Chair for the Economic Freedom Fighters, Dali Mpofu, took to Twitter yesterday to comment on the controversial confession heard by the Zondo Commission.
Former BOSASA COO Angelo Agrizzi admitted before the inquiry that he was indeed a racist.
Mpofu commented that Agrizzi was, at least, 'many steps ahead' of 'millions' who had yet to admit to their prejudice and remained in 'denial.'
According to The Citizen, the chairman went on to explain how it was similar to being an alcoholic, where the first step is to admit your situation:
An alcoholic will never recover until he says, ‘I am an alcoholic.’
Briefly.co.za reported yesterday that Angelo Agrizzi had admitted his racism to the inquiry after they heard a recording where he had used the 'k-word' repeatedly during a meeting.
Ironically, the Black First Land First party slammed this tweet from the EFF member:
Imagine a Jew congratulating a Nazi for admitting that they hate Jews? The self-hate amongst black people is unbelievable!
In 2018, Briefly.co.za reported that under #MngxitamaHomeComing Andile, the BLF party, as well as its supporters, had rallied in support of the recent speech given by Mngxitama over the weekend.
A video showing the speech had gone viral, showing Andile Mngxitama revelling in his hateful propaganda.
