Starting a business is not easy, not even for celebs like Minnie Dlamini. She's currently involved in drama surrounding a R10 million funding to get MD Beauty off the ground. Minnie took to social media to address the issue.
Now, it's reported Minnie had to clear the air about R10 million funding for her beauty range, MD Beauty.
According to a report by ZAlebs, the former presenter spoke openly about her business plans in Destiny Magazine, but this is where the confusion started.
It seems people thought she was given the money from Industrial Development Corporation to support her business.
However, she actually applied for the R10 million in question as a loan, and it is payable with interest.
Minnie took to social media to say that she's still waiting for the loan to be approved.
In my Destiny cover I was quoted saying I received a grant from the IDC for my new business. I in fact applied for a loan payable with interest which is still pending due to the error. My apologies for any confusion caused.
Not everyone was pleased with this explanation though:
Yoh! Mzansi has no chill!
