South Africans were shocked after a video and photos went viral, which showed a robbery and bombing at a filling station.
On Thursday, a video was posted on social media which showed thugs getting out of a white BMW at an Engen garage in Devland. The footage showed the armed men walking towards the shop with their faces concealed.
According to Intelligence Bureau SA, the thugs not only robbed the gas station, they also bombed it. Photos showing the aftermath of the bombing were also posted on social media, Briefly.co.za gathered.
South Africans were enraged by the footage and they accused the cops of sleeping.
Syed Ali Hamza commented: "Don't make noise cops are sleeping."
Ero Mabuya added: "Police must stop sleeping and work at wee hours of the morning, it's easy to identify suspicious activity as there are few car's on the road."
Pedro Major Genaral Santana said: "There is an army barrack just not far from devland and these are rogue elements of the army check the way the got outside the car and taking cover holding war riffles....gunners at play."
One social media user pointed out that things would have gone down differently if someone hijacked the thugs' car.
Julie Wilson wrote: "Wouldn't that be funny if someone else hijacked their getaway car."
