Cassper Nyovest has decided years ago that the South African Music Awards just aren't for him. He confirmed this year that he won't be submitting his music, even after fans begged him to. Dude is determined.
Back in 2015, when Doc Shebeleza wasn't nominated for a South African Music Award, Cassper Nyovest decided he was done with the awards.
Artists who want their music to stand a chance to win have until 31 January to submit it, but Cassper's not bothered.
Even after a cute message from one of his fans, Cassper remains adamant to steer clear from the SAMAs.
Fans took to social media to try and convince Cassper to submit his music, but it was all in vain.
The man has made up his mind, and he feels he doesn't need a SAMA to know the worth of his music.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Cassper did debate the issue, but his decision didn't change this year.
I didn’t submit Thuto (his latest album) for the Samas. It’s been a long debate at the office and as much as I love making the fans happy, I’m just over the Samas.
