Yanga Sobetwa, the 17-year-old who won our hearts and the SA Idols title in 2018, is still learning, both in life and school. She's going to finish her studies at home and then pursue a degree in entertainment law.
It wasn't so long ago that Yanga Sobetwa melted our hearts when she was part of Idols SA. When she went on to take the title, we felt she deserved it.
The 17-year-old from Delft, Cape Town was overjoyed when her name echoed through the building as she was announced as the winner of the 14th season of Idols SA.
Since then, she's been learning many lessons in life and doing her thing spectacularly. Now, it's time to return to school, and continue learning.
However, according to a report by The Daily Sun, the singing angel is not going back to school. She'll be studying at home by finishing her matric through homeschooling.
Briefly.co.za gathered that the youngster's family supports her.
It’s been an exciting rollercoaster of emotions in the last year. But going back to school and having this great support for my matric year is awesome.
She's hoping to inspire other young South Africans by completing her school studies.

I might not be back in the mainstream school I was at last year but I am doing it via home schooling which still works for me.
After finishing Grade 12, Yanga will study entertainment law.
