President Ramaphosa has a heavy burden on his shoulders. South Africans are expecting him to turn around South Africa, and since he took place in the presidential seat, opinions have differed on whether or not he can do it. Briefly.co.za took a look at how Mzansi feels about the president.
Since Cyril Ramaphosa took over as president of South Africa, the country has gone from Ramaphoria to Ramapression and back again.
Support for the country's leader has been a roller-coaster ride that has unexpected twists and turns.
Mzansi is divided - there are citizens who feel that Ramaphosa can indeed save SA, and then there are those who completely lost faith.
Briefly.co.za decided to ask South Africans just how they feel, and here's what they had to say:
Khethelo M Zondi - No. He can't because this problem is bigger than him and he is surrounded by snakes in his party... You can't change a reptile's nature.
Don Moeng - No ways he can't be trusted
Petra Blake Mooiman - I still believe he can if given enough time. This country cannot be rebuilt in a year.
Lindile Matshiqi - Big NO
Bozz James - Yes i have faith in him
Ntokozo Mavovo Nkonyane - If he appoint some of the opposition guys to his cabinet YES
It's clear that the question is not one that South Africans are all going to agree on. Only time will tell if Ramaphosa will save South Africa, as he promised with his New Dawn.
