An unemployed man decided to look for alternative ways to earn money. Rather than sitting at home and stressing while he looks for work, Tobie Steyn offers much-needed services to his fellow South Africans, however small it may be.
Unemployment is a real problem in South Africa that many people face. It's difficult not to give up hope when day after day, you have to face the world knowing that you're without a proper income.
But one man, Tobie Steyn, decided to do whatever he can to improve his situation, even if it's just offering people rides.
It may not sound like much, but it has been a valuable service to a lot of people, as well as super inspiring. Tobie also offers to watch people's homes when they're away.
Carla van der Spuy was so impressed with Tobie's die-hard attitude that she took to social media to tell everyone about him.
She said she takes her hat off for young entrepreneurs who do what they can when work is hard to find. She made use of his ride-offering service and says he wasn't even expensive. Carla also praised Tobie as a very nice young man who is reliable and didn't display any road rage when he took her to Pretoria.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Tobie has a B.Com degree, but is still trying to find a job.
Here's what a couple of people had to say about Tobie:
Bossie Bosman - His own business...way to go...
Mariana Swanepoel Nel - I have a lot of respect for this young man! With his attitude the right job will come his way!
Georgina Paul - God wil bless him.
