Chuene currently plays the role of Gracious Mabuza in Mzansi Magic's soapie, The Queen.

Five months ago, Briefly.co.za reported that the actress came under fire for her character’s use of bible scriptures on ‘The Queen’ but she spoke out against the pastor by telling him to relax.

In a Facebook rant, the Archbishop Elect of the International Anglican Orthodox Episcopal Communion, Abraham Sibiya came out to say that he did not agree with the way Rami’s character, Gracious quoted the bible.

He hinted in his post that his views were not a personal attack on the actress as he believes that she has done an amazing job at portraying Gracious Mabuza.
