This is not the first time viewers confronted a mean spirited bachelor. Briefly.co.za previously reported that bachelor Jongikhaya's "controlling" ways had viewers shook. Jong’s date was one of the most hectic first dates that DMF viewers have ever witnessed. The 34-year-old bachelor came across as extremely insecure. Briefly.co.za noticed that, at first, viewers were keen on Jong, the business management bachelor who loves sport. He came onto the show looking for a decent lady, but his overbearing commands, were enough to drive anyone away. Stating that he would like a lady who would "obey his commands", was the first red alert of the evening. Jong had a lot of pretty strict criteria, was more like an interview for the army than a first date.

One social media user said the rude bachelor was “immature and unimaginable.” Others resorted to memes to fire back at the nasty bachelors.
