Mangi La'Quinton Nyengule has had a passion for acting since the age of 12.

The 25-year-old hails from Bloemfontein in Free State but his passion for the arts saw him take the trip to Johannesburg in 2018.

Nyengule travelled to Gauteng in the hope of landing gigs through casting agencies but it all went pear-shaped.

He revealed to Briefly.co.za how he was assaulted by 4 men and robbed of all his belongings.

With no money or possessions, Nyengule was forced to sleep at the Hillbrow Police Station for 2 nights.

To add insult to injury, he endured another 2 nights at the Park Station as well.

Eventually, he was able to walk to Auckland Park in an attempt to locate the SABC studios.

Thankfully, Lesedi FM’s Lehlohonolo Nete sympathised with Nyengule’s story and provided him with enough money to return back home.

The young man has shown tremendous determination to make his mark but lacks the funds to fulfil the registration process required at many of the casting agencies.

Anyone in a position to offer assistance can reach out to Nyengule directly.
