Boity has announced that her second single is dropping on Friday. The song titles “Bakae” comes after the well-received first single “Wuzdat.”
The first single earned the budding rapper a South African Hip Hop Awards nomination, and respect from fans and industry peers alike. Mzansi has been tracking the star’s every move, excitedly awaiting a second track.
The media personality has been teasing her second single for weeks, and the anticipation is high. She took to social media to finally put all our nerves at bay; a second single is on its way and it will be arriving at the end of the week.
"The wait is over!! I’m finally dropping my second official single titled #BAKAE produced by Ganja Beatz this Friday!"
"Ba Kae" means "Where are They" in SeTswana and SeSotho and we wonder if she might be taking shots at her competition. If you remember, Nadia Nakai released a single shortly after Boity’s debut and many were unimpressed. Some going as far to say that Boity has dethroned her as South Africa’s Queen of Rap.
It seems beef is brewing in the South African hip hop scene this year. Briefly.co.za has been following the beef brewing between former best friends Cassper Nyovest and Riky Rick. Riky Rick excluded Mufasa from the line up of his recent Cotton Fest and tongues have been wagging.
