TK Dlamini skillfully played the role of Mastermind in one of South Africa's favourite TV series, Uzalo. However, he's walking away from the show because he didn't like the environment and how he was treated.
Loyal followers of Uzalo are going to miss seeing Mastermind on their screens. The actor behind one of their favourite characters, TK Dlamini, has decided to walk away from the show.
Many of the show's actors have called it quits and cited unprofessionalism as the reason, as reported on by ZAlebs.
Financial problems have also been named as the reason we don't see some of our favourite characters anymore.
TK decided that he didn't want to be part of the show anymore because it just didn't feel right anymore.
According to a report by TV Guide SA, TK also said he wanted to grow, but Uzalo's production environment changed.
Well, firstly I needed to grow, but also the environment in that production is not the same anymore.
Briefly.co.za learned that the actor also said the cast and crew don't have any bonds, they're just there to finish their work and get paid.
It doesn’t feel like we’re a family, it feels like everyone is just there to get a pay check... and I can’t work in a place like that, because I’m not doing this for money, I do it for the love of the industry. I hope they treat the new cast members better than they treated us.
Fans of the show will surely miss their favourite faces, but hopefully, the new cast will grow on them.
