When you're an artist, you can't derive more pleasure then seeing a fan that appreciates your talents. And making their dreams come true, should be your number 1 priority, well guess what rapper Riky Rick did for his super fan at the Cotton Fest this past weekend.
Riky Rick called one of his super fans on stage during his performance. His super fan is a person with disabilities and as soon as he got on stage, he reached out for a hug with tears flowing down his face.
Riky shared a snap of him hugging his super fan on Instagram yesterday and captioned it, "God is Love." You could see from this pic the emotion and utmost gratitude this fan had to see his role model perform live.
What a heartfelt moment for both the artist and fan.
Riky Rick also made headlines on Briefly.co.za earlier today, when news about him and best friend, Cassper Nyovest possibly ending their friendship.
If you’re a fan of Mzansi hip hop culture, you would have noticed that Cassper Nyovest and Riky Rick have had a very close friendship. They even went as far as exchanging touching words about one another on stage and on social media. But that bromance seems to have come to an abrupt end because of a possible misunderstanding.
When Riky Rick’s Cotton Fest line-up was announced, many questioned why his friend Cassper Nyovest was excluded, to make it worse, Cassper’s rival, AKA , was in the list of performers.
In a recent interview with Slikour, Riky Rick opened up about the relationship.
“I think you don’t always need to...equity trade and sometimes the situation just doesn’t feel right and for me...somethings are just not for public consumption"
The cryptic response seems to suggest that the pair had a business disagreement which has now affected their friendship. Riky did go on to add that there is a deeper story, but did not disclose it.
“Sometimes there’s a deeper story, but sometimes the deeper story doesn’t have to come from anybody…”
Cassper took to social media to express his thoughts on being excluded from the Cotton fest. He said that he had no beef with Riky - they were just not talking anymore.
